Our traditional inscription granite or sandstone headstones have been designed to compliment our range of funerary products and satisfy the needs of those customers who wish to continue to use a traditional material for their memorial.

This style of headstone is available in a number of shapes and infinite sizes from 300 x 300 up to 1200 x 1200. A sand-blasting technique is used to engrave the inscription and artwork motifs into the face of the polished granite/sandstone.

These headstones are available in many different granite colours as well as sandstone, together with 9 different colours of inscription and artwork motif to choose from. A polished granite/sandstone headstone will not oxidize or readily deteriorate thereby maintaining good looks for many years.

Headstone Bases

Headstones can be supplied with or without a granite, sandstone or stainless steel base. The bases can be supplied with or without flower pot holes or flower holders and/or an inscription.

Designing Your Headstone

You have the opportunity to personalize the design and layout of your inscription and motifs on your headstone using the exclusive headstone design section of our website.

Within this very simple to use design system, you select your preferred headstone shape and size, and then draft your personalized inscription and upload it onto your headstone design where it is sized and positioned appropriately by you.

If desired, you can select artwork motifs from our motif library which can also be added to the design. You can also select the colour of your inscription and motifs from those available on our web site. The sand blasted inscription and motifs incur additional charges.

In addition to the sand blasted inscription and motifs mentioned above, you may add one or more lifetime images, stainless steel motifs, ceramic photos, kiln fired overlays, laser etched granite overlays and raised glass backed motifs to the design, provided space is available on the headstone. For any of the images or photos you may upload an image onto the headstone design. For the raised glass backed motifs you select the colour from those available on our website. The addition of these overlays to the design will incur an additional charge.

We have also made available an extensive library of thousands of motifs for you to choose from. These images can be added to your design as engraved motifs, stainless steel motifs or coloured glass-backed motifs.

You may determine the price of your design at any time during the design process by clicking the check price button on the design screen.

When you are happy with the design of your headstone you may save that design by clicking the save your design button. You may save and edit your design as often as you want without losing the original design, and email your saved designs to family and friends.

Ordering Your Headstone

You may view, print, save or email your saved design or quote from your saved designs screen. You may also purchase your design by clicking on the relevant buy button. Full instructions are given about the ordering process once in the shopping cart.

Cemetery Requirements Various cemeteries have different requirements and limitations on the size of headstones that they allow to be installed on their property. There is no logical reason why a Forever Shining traditional inscription granite/sandstone headstone cannot be installed in any cemetery. Before an order is placed for one of our headstones these issues should be discussed between the customer and the cemetery to ensure that the needs of all parties are satisfied.

Trademarks and Copyrights If there is a trademark or copyright associated with an image or logo that is required on a headstone, please ensure that written permission for us to reproduce the image or logo is provided by the owner of the trademark or copyright and that permission is supplied with the order. The order will not be processed without that permission.

Delivery

Anticipated dispatch time from date of order and payment for a traditional inscription granite/sandstone headstone is 10 to 12 weeks.
