From clay to bronze: how a statue is made
You approve every stage before we move to the next, so there are no surprises when the finished bronze arrives.
Brief and reference
We gather every detail you can share: photos, 3D scans, 3D prints, scaled models, measurements and the story behind the piece.
Clay model and proofs
Our sculptor builds a clay model and sends you photos from every angle. Clay reshapes easily, so we revise as many times as needed until you are fully happy.
Casting in bronze
Once the model is approved we prepare it for casting and pour it at a high quality foundry that meets your specified requirements.
Finishing and delivery
The bronze is chased, patinated and sealed, then delivered Australia wide. In Perth we can also arrange installation and a plinth or base.

Sizes, pricing and lead times
Every bronze statue is quoted individually because size, complexity, finish and base all affect the cost. Small desk and garden pieces start well below life size commissions, and we are always happy to work to a budget by adjusting scale or detail. Send us your idea and any reference images and we will come back to you with a proposal, a timeline and a fixed quote. Because each piece is modelled, proofed and cast to order, please allow several months from approval to delivery, and let us know early if you are working towards an unveiling or anniversary date.
