Headstones and Memorial Plaques for Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park
Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park in Padbury is Perth’s northern lawn cemetery, managed by the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board. Forever Shining is a cemetery certified monument mason for Pinnaroo, crafting compliant plaques, headstones and monuments at our Bibra Lake workshop.
Approved memorial plaques for Pinnaroo
Pinnaroo is a lawn cemetery, so most memorials are plaques set into the lawn beam. As a cemetery certified monument mason we design, supply and install plaques that meet Pinnaroo’s regulations, and we lodge the MCB application for you.
- Bronze plaques, long lasting and elegant, professionally mounted onto a 50 mm concrete block for a secure installation
- Laser etched black granite plaques in 50 mm or 100 mm thickness, with deep, high contrast etching of portraits, artwork and inscriptions
- Two approved sizes: Pinnaroo allows 380 x 280 mm and 560 x 305 mm plaques, and we supply both
Pinnaroo plaque prices
| Size | Laser etched granite (delivered) | Bronze |
|---|---|---|
| 380 x 280 mm | $739 | Priced live in the designer |
| 560 x 305 mm | $1,040 | Priced live in the designer |
Installation on the Pinnaroo lawn beam and the MCB application fee are quoted with your design. Every price updates live as you design, so the designer is always the final word.

Good to know
- Accessories such as metal crosses and statues, coloured images and additional granite plaques are available at an additional cost
- Packages are priced for sections with an existing concrete lawn beam. For cemetery areas or sections without a concrete lawn, an Australian Standard footing is required and will incur an additional cost
- The site must have clear access. If access is restricted, additional heavy machinery hire may be required and will incur an extra charge
- Surname, verse or MCB grave number on the base adds $200. Extra laser images are $100 each
- Orders take around 12 to 18 weeks from artwork approval. A 50% deposit starts your order and a 12 month payment plan is available
- Prices are current for the 2025 to 2026 financial year
How the monument is built and installed
These drawings show how we secure every headstone and base. The base sits on a concrete overlapping footing with 150 mm piers driven as deep as the ground allows, and the headstone is pinned to the base with 10 mm stainless steel dowel fixings. Full monuments with kerbs, ledger panel and socket follow the same principle.

Pinnaroo Valley rules and requirements
Every MCB cemetery, and often each section within it, has its own rules for memorials. These are the ones Pinnaroo families ask us about most. We check your design against the current requirements for your section before anything is crafted.
- Lawn sections accept plaques in two sizes only, 380 x 280 mm and 560 x 305 mm, mounted flush with the lawn beam
- The plot number must be displayed on the front of the base, in the top right corner, where a base is used
- Some sections only allow the deceased’s last name on the back of the headstone, at the top centre, with no additional wording or artwork
- Headstone and base sizes, and whether a full monument is permitted, depend on the section. Tell us your grave location and we will confirm what is allowed
- All monumental work needs an MCB Authorisation for Monumental Work signed by the grant holder or their representative. We prepare and lodge it for you
Not sure which section your grave is in? Send us the grave number and we will check the requirements for you.
