How A Black Anodised Urn Is Made
The cube is anodised to a deep, even black, then our artists prepare your photo and wording so every detail lasers true. The design is etched into the white marble inlay, dark areas holding shadow and highlights lifting to marble white, and the finished inlay is set into the black body.
Motifs can be lasered into the marble or added as stainless steel or coloured glass backed pieces for contrast against the black.
Top tip: black and white portrait photos look especially striking against the black anodised body.

What is a black anodised urn?

Will the black finish wear?
No. Anodising is an electrochemical process that makes the colour part of the metal surface itself. It does not chip, flake or fade, and it needs no polishing or maintenance.

In the 200 to 300 mm range, which comfortably holds an adult’s ashes. Smaller keepsake versions can be made if the ashes are being shared between family members.
